Age is a funny thing. As children, we can’t wait for it and as adults we do everything we can to slow it down. There’s a constant tug of war in our personal lives that lasts the duration of our lives.
Objects, on the other hand, can improve with age, and are often adored the older they are. The rings and markings in wood, the movement in stone formed over millions of years, and even brass that looks better over time.
